Stadtwerke Unna is the strong energy partner for 60,000 citizens in North Rhine-Westphalia and a municipal utility company for green electricity, natural gas, heat, photovoltaics, electromobility and fiber optics, and since 2021 also as an Internet service provider.
CANCOM Austria emerged from K-Businesscom (formerly Kapsch BusinessCom) at the beginning of 2024. The following case study was written before that and therefore the text was left in the original version.
Business Challenge
When Stadtwerke Unna, the city of Unna and external service providers work together, everything has to run smoothly. If a fault occurs, for example, it must be possible to determine immediately on which side the problem exists. A high-performance tool that works reliably in day-to-day organization is essential for this.
Solution
The Allegro Network Multimeter is an all-in-one solution for network troubleshooting. For a better overview of the network, higher productivity of the IT architecture and network analyses in real time. The expert modules of the Allegro Network Multimeter are used to start the analysis directly. In addition, the analysis module for the IEC-104 protocol (IEC60870-5-104) was implemented for this project. The IEC 104 analyses that can be carried out in infrastructure automation with this module have proved to be a great relief in day-to-day work.
