There for you, for over 40 years: This is the motto of Hilfswerk Niederösterreich, which supports families in difficult situations. Hilfswerk NÖ is one of the five largest social organizations in the country with around 3,200 employees and 2,800 volunteers as well as around 25,000 customers. The range of services is diverse and tailored to the needs of the clients: mobile nursing and care, mobile physiotherapy, occupational therapy and logotherapy, emergency telephone, menu service and offers for child care, learning training, psychotherapy and counseling.

Business Challenge

With 68 locations in Lower Austria and care teams that are constantly on the road throughout the country, Hilfswerk NÖ is naturally organized in a decentralized manner. The management is complex: On the one hand, in the sense of a "service of short distances", personal and service data and all other relevant information should be recorded locally and be available promptly. At the same time, the data of the persons to be cared for, most of which is confidential, as well as the time and work schedules and invoices, must be collected at a central location. In addition, the Android mobile devices used by Hilfswerk NÖ were previously only approved for making phone calls; all other functions were blocked for security reasons. All in all, these specific requirements can only be solved sustainably using a high-performance and secure enterprise mobility management system.
