Dr. Franz Semmernegg

Dr. Franz Semmernegg (born 1968) is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CANCOM Austria. He is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Kapsch TrafficCom.

Before joining the Kapsch Group, Dr. Semmernegg worked for the technology company Schrack: After management functions at Ericsson Austria (1998) and Schrack Seconet (1997), he was responsible for the successful management buy-out of Schrack BusinessCom from Ericsson Austria in 1998. From 1999 to September 2001 he was a member of the Management Board of Schrack BusinessCom AG.

Franz Semmernegg completed his studies in business administration at the Karl-Franzens University of Graz with a doctorate. He began his professional career at the chartered accountancy firm Nidetzky.

Dietmar Wiesinger, MBA

Dietmar Wiesinger (born 1978) has been a member of the CANCOM Austria Executive Board since October 2023.

He studied Business Informatics at the JKU Linz and completed an Executive MBA at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and Carlson School of Management (University of Minnesota) while working. He has also completed postgraduate training at the London Business School.

He began his professional career at T-Systems, most recently as Head of Sales Corporate Customers and at Microsoft. In 2019, he was a board member at Kapsch CarrierCom AG and then joined CELUM, an Austrian software specialist for digital asset management, as COO.

Ambitious plans for the future are part of our DNA
